GOING TO GROUND

I have a tendency to live in my head.

Too many things competing for my attention at the same time.

At times like these, I turn to Fashion Feng Shui principles. Along with browns and yellows (both of which I don’t like) wearing a square shape, or using in a pattern, adds the earth element into my clothing. Earth is grounding, nurturing, comforting, stable, solid and enables compassion (especially important to one’s own self care).

This dress is something I love. It is square in shape, and the fabric has a large check pattern. Double whammy. No wonder I feel so relaxed. It’s definitely one of my ‘go-to’ garments.

After all, when going unchecked (pardon the pun), living in your head can be very stressful. It’s not a coincidence that many of my clothes have large square pockets or check patterns, sometimes so small you wouldn’t really notice. I know they are there, and that’s what counts. When you dress this way, your personal energy changes. We call it Intentional Dressing. I use it daily to get what I need in my life.
